Three Physical Properties:
- Malleable (can be pounded into thin sheets)
- Usually Shiny
- Hard (metals are a solid)
Three Chemical Properties:
- Can be easily oxidized (the process of corrosion)
- Reacts with hot acids
- Rust when exposed to air Three Interesting Facts:
-If unprotected pieces of metal touch each other in space, they permenently stick together.
-Metals can be recycled and made into other things.
- Tin can take 100 years to break down. Aluminum takes about 500 years.
Two Common Uses:
- Drinking cans
- Pipes
